Receptionist – Part-time – 18-30hrs per week

Are you passionate about people and their pets? We are currently looking for a friendly, professional person to join our caring and enthusiastic reception team. Working front-of-house, you will primarily welcome our clients and their pets as the first point of contact.

Receptionists need to be available to work the hours rota’d and these can range from any of the following. Monday to Friday, either 8am to 1pm, or 1pm to 7pm or 8am-7pm. Saturdays are 8.00am-5.30pm (approx. 1 in 3).

Duties to include:-

  • Manage and deal with appointment bookings in a professional and efficient manner using the in-practice database system.
  • Receive clients and their animals for appointments, being sensitive to their needs and promoting a professional image at all times.
  • Assist vet with euthanasia procedures with other animal handling requirements.
  • Maintain product knowledge and be able to advise where needed.
  • Working with other members of the team to ensure that the reception and other areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and are presentable at all times
  • Daily administrative tasks

This is a hands-on role, so receptionists need to be confident around all animal species and/or eager to learn.

Full Driving licence essential as work may take you to any of our branch surgeries.

This opportunity is for a passionate equine veterinary surgeon to join the team at our long-established equine centre in Stowmarket. The centre is well-equipped, with portable digital x-ray and ultrasound, as well as on-site stabling and a large grazing paddock.
