Jemma Fry AdvCertVPhys. MIRVAP

Jemma is a qualified veterinary physiotherapist and small animal hydrotherapist. With a keen interest in horses and horse-riding, Jemma initially gained qualifications in equine science followed by human and equine sports massage, which sparked an interest in the veterinary field. She progressed to complete an Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Physiotherapy (level 7) with Canine and Equine Physiotherapy Training (CEPT) and the ABC Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy. She is a member of The Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Therapists (IRVAP). She has several years experience working as a full time veterinary physiotherapist and hydrotherapist at a specialist referral centre, working closely with the nursing teams and a range of specialisms including neurology and orthopaedics. More recently Jemma has enjoyed working at a large, well recognised canine re-homing centre as a full time physiotherapist/hydrotherapist, which has given her further experience working with dogs that may have had bad past experiences and sometimes present challenging behaviours. Jemma enjoys working with post operative cases, using physiotherapy techniques to ensure the patient is as comfortable as possible and to assist in returning the animal back to normal function. In her spare time Jemma enjoys horse riding and walking her two whippets.
