 | Nurses |
| At SVG, nurses regularly work with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits and birds as well as horses, farm animals and more exotic species such as lizards. Nurses also include carry out lab work and prepare animals for operations, and assist during operations. Animal nurses take responsibility for feeding, watering, cleaning quarters and exercising animals in the practice’s care. SVG is an authorised nurse training centre. |
 | Pet Care Advisors and Receptionists |
| Either working on reception of the veterinary practice or in the pet shop Pets Place, this role involves advising clients on everyday aspects of looking after pets. It is a fun, customer-facing role, which suits out-going people who love animals and are interested to learn about caring for them. |
 | Groomers |
| Grooming involves looking after all aspects of coat and skin care and appearance. Groomers are responsible for brushing, combing, bathing, shampooing, drying, clipping, stripping and trimming the pets’ coats. SVG is a grooming training centre and for people interested in this hands on career, provides the necessary guidance and experience for trainees. |

| As well as the veterinary and pet care work, there are a number of ‘behind the scenes’ administrative and organisational roles that ensure the practice operates smoothly. While these varied positions do not offer direct hands-on animal experience, being located in a veterinary practice means pets are always close at hand! |
